The SOFA (Supporting Old Factories in Africa) collection of pure mohair blankets by Frances van Hasselt are produced in legacy mohair factories in need of support. Together they create new imaginings around locally produced mohair products.

 Each colorway is available in a limited edition of 10 blankets. The Family Room blanket combines a bright mint green with ochre yarn. It's lightweight, with a high brushed volume and tassels.

Care

When not in use, store blankets folded flat, in a cool dry place. Do not store them inside plastic. Keep the mohair looking full and fluffy by gently shaking out and brushing by hand. Mohair blankets can be cleaned as follows: Dry Cleaned by reputable cleaners. Machine washed in cold water on the wool or delicate cycle, at no higher than 30ºC / 86ºF and without spinning, using hair shampoo or a wool washing aid like Woolite. Hand-washed in cold water with Woolite by gently agitating the blanket, followed by rinsing in cold water and gently squeezing out excess moisture. Dry flat or on a clothes-line and gently tuft out when dry by shaking or brushing by hand. Never tumble dry or iron.
