Desert Mindscape II is a handspun and handwoven mohair tapestry with embroidery by Frances van Hasselt, a weaving studio working with mohair sourced from the van Hasselt family's angora goat farm in the Karoo. Each unique work is embroidered with a personal narrative - the embroidery is not pre-planned and becomes a pyschography depicting the weaver's immediate environment and experience.
