The Agadez Lamp by Duchenne Studio is a hand carved wooden lamp inspired by the symbolic Tuareg jewelry of Niger. Handmade from Ash timber, the lamp is shaped to echo the form of the Agadez Cross. Also known as the Cross of Niger, this iconic symbol represents the sun, moon, stars, and water—elements essential to life in the desert. Traditionally worn for protection and blessings, the cross is reimagined here as a luminous object for the home. The Niger Lamp honors that spirit, offering not just light, but a quiet wish for sanctuary and safekeeping.
The Agadez lamp base comes as standard with a raffia or linen lampshade. Custom shades available on request. Please email sales@kombi.nyc to specify your choice of lampshade
