Imisio Ceramics is a contemporary African ceramics studio specializing in hand-crafted, limited edition pieces created by renowned artists Andile Dyalvane and Zizipho Poswa. “Imiso” is derived from the Xhosa word ‘Ngomso’, meaning, ‘tomorrow’’ - a promise for future generations best embodied in its residency program, Imiso Studios, which supports the development of emerging ceramic artists in Southern Africa. Both Dyalvane and Poswa have a large-scale sculpture practice, and exhibit internationally with Southern Guild and Friedman Benda.
