Beauty Ngxongo is a world-renowned weaver of Zulu baskets - vessels traditionally used for the storage of food and beer, but elevated by Ngxongo to an art through her mastery of weaving and graphics. Based in Hlabisa, KwaZulu Natal, Ngxongo has been perfecting her craft for over 30 years. Her work can be found in museum collections including at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Iziko South African National Gallery.
